For many students, one of their greatest challenges is to decide what they want to do after they leave school. To many students this is a daunting task, as there is a myriad of information available and so much to choose from. At Seton, students and parents are provided with assistance in making this decision easier through the following:

  • individual counseling and guidance

  • notification of all relevant information pertaining to Tertiary enrolments

  • assistance in applying for part-time or full-time employment

  • liaison with outside employment bodies and employers

  • organising appropriate guest speakers

  • attendance at Career and Employment Expos

  • participation in Work Experience placements

  • aiding students in subject selection

  • writing of resumes and job applications

  • assisting students in obtaining Unique Student Identifier (USI)

  • completion of an individual Career Assessment programme

Whilst several of these activities are group based, at Seton the emphasis is on assisting the individual and meeting their needs. Parents are always encouraged to become involved in this process and become Career Partners in their child’s future. Students or parents can organise appointments through the Career Office or simply call in during office hours.
