The College Psychologist, Ms Anina Simonis, and our College Counsellor, Mrs Shannan Black, are involved in facilitating and promoting the health and well-being of students within the College. This may involve individual counselling of students on a range of issues of a personal nature, including social, emotional, behavioural or mental health matters.
The Academic College Psychologist, Mrs Nicola Lamb will assist with the learning needs of students and address Curriculum Adjustment Plans (CAP), Individual Education Plans (IEP) and SCSA special arrangement applications.
The first point of call for any referral process is the student’s Head of House, and if further support is required the appropriate psychologist or counsellor will be engaged. In consultation with the student and the family, a referral to an outside agency for specialised assistance may be recommended.
The services offered by the College Psychologists are confidential. Please contact your child’s Head of House if further information is required.
