Marion
Marion House was named after Melchior Marion de Brésillac. Melchior Marion de Brésillac worked as a priest in India, he cherished the opportunity to train Indian priests and believed that India should have an indigenous clergy capable of organising their missions. Melchior Marion de Brésillac founded the Society of African Missions to continue his mission work. The Marion House theme is Outreach to reflect the mission work of the Society of African Mission and their founder, Melchior Marion de Brésillac. The Marion House Cross is inspired by the personal Cross of Melchior Marion de Brésillac and the symbol of the Fleur de Lis, an ancient symbol of Catholicism and related to Brésillac’s birthplace of France. The Marion House symbol are birds, the birds are seagulls that symbolise the sea voyages taken by the Society of African Missions.
