Year 10 Visual Art is an exciting and challenging course which promotes creativity and self-expression through structured learning activities. The course encourages increasing independence through project-based learning which is driven by the student's own interests and strengths. They will explore a more sophisticated variety of media and materials with greater exposure to Art History and its significance to the art-making process.
Each term will focus on a student brief that begins with drawing and the development of design for major studio work in a number of mediums including painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture and textiles. Year 10 art is showcased in numerous exhibitions throughout the year including our annual Brother Francis Exhibition in Term Four.
This course will enable students to develop and consolidate skills in preparation for General or ATAR Visual Arts Courses.
